演講內容摘要如下：
Scientific collaboration continues to increase in frequency and importance. It has the potential to solve complex scientific problems and promote various political, economic and social agendas, such as democracy, sustainable development, and cultural understanding and integration. Increasingly, public and private research funding agencies require interdisciplinary, international and inter-institutional collaboration. Scientific collaboratories, allowing scientists both known and unknown to each other to interact and share tools, data, and other artifacts, have emerged as one new way of conducting scientific collaboration across geographic distances. In this talk, I present examples of collaboratories that I and my colleagues established, and discuss the challenges and solutions that emerged in the collaboratories.

Is to establish a communication channels, then the two sides do the same thing, until there are problems or results to help each other or sharing
Is division of labor in charge of the section in the beginning and then complete their own independent?

跨科際合作之間，遠距離是否比集中在一起來的好?
往往有很多公司成立專案小組時，總喜歡招集世界各地分公司的精英聚集到某一個據點進行開發
Is the long-distance better than together, in interdisciplinary collaboration?
Many companies are often set up a team for some projects, request the scientists gather from the world.

協同合作的研究只針對人與人?
是否可能是機器與機器或是機器與人? 類似分散式協同運算
Does collaborative research only applies to people?
Whether to extend the machinery and machine or machines with the people?
It's similar distributed collaborative computing

在參予的人員中的位階是主從或是平等的較好?
Which one is better that staff relations in collaborative, in the subordinate relationship or equal relations ?


既然是合作，那遠距離的合作只是單純的意見交流、文件分享嗎?
有無類似遠端操作的方式? 如果有，為何還需要合作?
Was there only purely long-distance exchange of views or file-sharing in collaboration ?
Whether similar remote operation of the way? If so, why the need to cooperate?
